“Shaken”, is on my mind since yesterday.
Let’s take a walk and digest about it.
What comes on your mind when you hear about a word “Shaken”?
I was reading comments on Wednesdays Instagram live with Pastor Josh and his wife Jana and someone posted like “God is not shaken……”
Then an image of hugging a huge rock came in my mind. I was like, surely that huge rock is not going to be shaken. But, I was perplexed why that image came in my mind.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.
In Him, we will never be shaken.
Is all my peace and comfort coming from God? In the perfect world, answer should be Yes. But, my answer is no.
It is much easier to feel at ease when everything is going good. When I have a good relationship with my wife, family is doing well, friends are good, steady increase in income, stock market and net worth, I feel more peace and comfort.
It is very hard to have normal daily routine with current situation. Some say it takes three weeks to develop a new habit, but this one is hard.
When I have a good daily routine, it makes everything easier and like some t shirt say “life is good”.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. His peace, love and who He is won’t change because stock market is down, or current situation.
But, my peace and comfort have changed because of current situation. Is it because I am more relying on this world to provide me peace and comfort instead of God? Ouch.
It is easier to read the bible verses and memorized them and share them and encourage people with Word.
When it comes to apply them, it is much harder. How many times have you thought about starting something, like exercise and cleaning, and have not started yet?
Easter Sunday is only three days away. About twenty centuries ago, God sent only One, His Son Jesus, for us.
He grew up and lived “sinless” life on earth for roughly thirty three years.
Friday before He was resurrected by the Father in heaven on Sunday morning, He was crucified on a cross. He lived sinless life but He died as a sinner to take care of ALL of our sins.
Sin separates us from the Father in heaven who loves you so much. Sin makes us not appear righteous in God’s eye.
However, what Jesus has done on a cross changed that bad news. This bad news died with Jesus on that Friday.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
With resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Good News was born. Now we live in the era of the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is the free gift from God for everyone.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed, and I do not know what is going to happen tomorrow, but this promise from God is not going to change.
Usually a bad news travel faster and further than a good news. But this Good News has been talked among people for almost two thousands years and has not changed a bit.
Tomorrow is Good Friday. Friday that bad news has died. And on Easter Sunday, we will be cerebrating the Good News was born as God resurrected Jesus from death.
It has been very tough for everyone on the earth last a few weeks due to COVID-19. It hurts your mind and heart. It robs peace and comfort from you.
After Jesus has passed, He was lied on a tomb on Friday evening. But on early Sunday morning, God robbed a tomb and Jesus was raised from dead.
I pray that this Good News to spread among those who do not know Jesus this weekend.
If you are one who do not know about Jesus, click here on Sunday 9:30 am and 11:00 am for a service.
Have a safe Easter weekend!
