Good Wednesday morning healing team!
If this is your first time to receive an email from us, Welcome to T Chiropractic and Acupuncture.
If you are lucky one to stay home in PJ and relax, enjoy your day! If you have to be out, stay dry and give yourself a little extra time to enjoy listening a podcast or enjoy conversation with kids in a car while you have to sit on traffic.
One of my friends shared with me what he learned from his mentor earlier this week and I would like to expand from there.
He told me to put a dot on a piece of paper and draw a long line as far as my arm can reach from that dot.
That dot represents my life on earth and a long line next to it is an eternal life in heaven.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.“
Eternal definition by Merriam-Webster is having infinite duration; everlasting
I live on this earth and it is very easy to focus on earthy things, like work, family and finance. It is very easy to forget about eternal life in heaven.
I might have shared with you previously that I used to struggle with anxiety and panic attacks in an elevator.
I was worrying about getting stuck in an elevator and when doors closed, only thought that was in my mind was what I am going to do if this elevator get stuck and what I am going to do if doors won’t open.
Then, my thoughts went on to is this elevator moving? I cannot feel this elevator is moving or slowing down? Oh no, it stopped, it is not moving, I am stuck!! PANIC!!
My pulse started beating fast and started sweating profusely but trying to stay clam, then when doors opened, I rushed out of an elevator.
According to nkytribune.com, There are approximately 900,000 elevators in the United States and the odds of getting stuck in an elevator are 1 in every 100,000 elevator ride. https://www.nkytribune.com/2018/05/keven-moore-got-stuck-in-an-elevator-while-on-vacation-a-first-bu…
Interesting…. That is 0.00001 % of chance that I will get stuck in an elevator. In other words, there is 99.99999% of chance I will NOT get stuck in an elevator. Truly Interesting.
However, all my attention was on 0.00001%
What if my focus was on rest of 99.99999%?
Compare to an eternal life you will have in heaven, our life on earth is less than 0.00001%.
What if we start focusing on 99.99999%?
2 Corinthians 5:10
“For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.”
2 Corinthians 5:9
“So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him.”
I know it sounds easy, and I am guilty not doing that. But what will be waiting for you on judgement day if your only focus was on 0.00001?
That outcome can change from today.
