Good Tuesday morning healing team!
Did you hear the sound of rain and thunder this morning? or was it noise of rain and thunder?
Often time, we consider a thunder as a noise rather than a sound of nature.
I was up in Colorado mountains for five days back packing, hiking and staying in the tents for five days with a group of men last week. You know, the real “man” stuff. No taking a shower for five days was awesome. lol.
It was great to be around sounds of nature for five days. There were sounds of thunders, rain, hail, water falls, wind rushing through between trees…all were sounds of the “Peace”.
Last an hour of hiking on the last day, a leader told us to spend a time with God as we walk down last stretch of a mountain. As I turned the last turn down a hill, I heard a noise of chainsaw cutting a tree. Then I felt the “Peace” I had, sounds of God, disappeared. Then I was back in human life.
Back in a city surround ed by what men created, we make a lot of noise, but we consider those noises as sounds. Back in the mountain surrounded by what God has created, what a man makes is clearly a noise not a sound…
Let yourself sit quietly and see if you can hear the sound, not a noise. I bet you hear a lot of noises. No wonder it is hard to hear God’s voice. No wonder we often get confused with a voice you hear in our head is God’s voice, evil or ourself.
Let us sit quietly and spend time in His word and listen to His sound. Let us focus and search for His word…Let us find the “Peace” in the mix of chaos…
The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is upon many (great) waters. Psalm 29: 3
The mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and calls the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. Psalm 50: 1
Have a great week!
