Good morning healing team!
I am hoping you guys are staying warm and dry.
Have you guys seen a barge on the Lake Ray Hubbard? Can you imagine staying on it in this weather? It is very cold and wet.
The last well is a non-profit organization to provide access to safe drinking water for the entire nation of Liberia.
Today, I am sharing John 21:3-13
3 Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.”“We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night.
4 At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was.
5 He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?”“No,” they replied.
6 Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it.
Disciples needed to support themselves. They were fisher men, so it made sense to go to fishing. However, they did not catch any fish all night.
Being disciples and they witnessed Jesus often prayed to God, I assume that they prayed for catching some fish.
Then verse 5 and 6 happened. Faith in action. They caught many fish and they could not haul in the net! They caught 153 large fish! and probably many small ones too!
10 “Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,” Jesus said. 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net to the shore. There were 153 large fish, and yet the net hadn’t torn.12 “Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish.
How many fish has God blessed with so far?
Did you eat all by yourself? Did you share with your friends, family or may be some strangers? or did you donate to those who need fish.
Do you have some left overs?
John 6:12 after Jesus fed 5,000 men and there families,
“After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.””
Do you have anything in your storage, garage or freezers has been “frozen” for a long time?
Jesus is asking to bring your fish, so he can cook a breakfast for you.
Now you stomach is satisfied and you still have some left overs.
Verse 12, 12 “Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.
If you know that fish you have is blessing from God, What are you going to do with some left overs you have?
Freeze them? Eat them? or give them.
Stay warm and have a great week!
