Good Friday morning healing team!
Schools are out for summer and kids are ready for camps and snow cones!
I pray for everyone’s safety for summer and if you are late for appointments , don’t worry about it (not appointments with me! LOL), don’t rush! Just take a time and enjoy! It’s a summer time in Texas!
Today, I want to a story from Acts 27
Paul was on a ship sailing to Rome and they faced storms after storms for 14 days. Most of 276 on board lost hope except Paul because
23 For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me, 24 and he said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul, for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God in his goodness has granted safety to everyone sailing with you.’ 25 So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said. 26 But we will be shipwrecked on an island.”
The situation was hopeless but they got to remember that it was miracle they survived for 14 days of storms!
I believe that they faced so many waves that they thought “We are not going to make this one” but they did!
Sometimes, it seems out of control in our human eyes but God is in control.
41 But they hit a shoal and ran the ship aground too soon. The bow of the ship stuck fast, while the stern was repeatedly smashed by the force of the waves and began to break apart.
They thought they made it but, the ship was starting to break apart.
Have you seen in a situation that you thought you were going to make it but something had changed in your path and you realized you were no where close to where you wanted to be and hopeless again.
……..Then he ordered all who could swim to jump overboard first and make for land. 44 The others held on to planks or debris from the broken ship. So everyone escaped safely to shore.
They were hopeless, however God was still in control. We see that situation as a nightmare. Because of ship was breaking apart, there were planks or debris floating near by to act as a floating device to those who cannot swim to save their lives!
Those planks on the beach are useless, but if you are surrounded by water, they are lifesaver.
1 Peter 5:8
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
The devil is always ready to get you. He leads you to worry, discouragement and anxiety.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
He is always with you, He got you.
God is only a prayer away. He is ready to talk to you. Are you ready to listen to Him? It is a dairy struggle to listen Him, because I know what I want.
We often ask “What is His plan for me?”, if we don’t listen, how can we know? Give God a time to talk to you.
Remember, God is in control even it does not look like one in our eyes.
