Good Friday morning healing team!
If this is the first time to receive an email from us, Welcome to T Chiropractic and Acupuncture.
I hope everyone is well and slowly adopting into new temporary lifestyle. I do not like this new lifestyle we are forced to live. As we all can testify, we had much more freedom before COVID-19 crisis invaded this world.
What do you miss the most in your dairy routine?
Parents and grand parents who are taking care of kids, there is some extra work involving with regular school days but don’t we miss kids going to school?
Matthew 7:24-27 Jesus said
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
The solid Rock never moves. When things around you get shaky and you may get shaky too but if you build you on Him and follow His instructions, you won’t collapse. The foundation you stand on will never fail.
Trusting Him has been my lesson for a long time and I am currently going through the lesson. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NABS) is my to-go verse.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight. “
Trusting Him can get shaky with situations around us.
24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves.
It is similar to our situation now. We are far away from normal lifestyle and riding on strong winds and waves without much control.
25 About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”27 But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!
If you are with Him, He is telling you not to be afraid and take courage! because…. He is with you.
28 Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”29 “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
Peter trusted him and walked on the water.
30 But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrifiedand began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.
Of course the strong winds and the waves (COVID-19) had to happen. And things around us get shaky and start doubting and get panic.
But see what Jesus did.
31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.
He saved Peter. He will save you too.
“You have so little faith,”Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”
Ouch, He is talking to me right now.
32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped.
He control winds and waves. Did you see lighting this morning? He is showing his mightily power! He is telling us He is here.
33 Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed.
I am not sure why we are dealing with COVID-19. Maybe because we did not have a great standard for hygiene routine? But I know that God is not surprised about it. If He knows COVID-19 would cause toilet paper chaos, why didn’t he stop it? A great question.
If we don’t get a chance to practice our faith, how can we get stronger?
How does your kids sports or music get better if there is no practice?
How can we become better parents or at work if we don’t get “practice” everyday?
The solid Rock may not move with stormy winds and rains but a house builds on top can. Every time we go through tough time, we have been provided an opportunity to practice to build the solid faith like the solid Rock we stand on.
We have to “build” a house on the solid Rock. It is a work to “build” and it is not easy, but we have the “Coach” knows everything what is coming in the future and knows what is the best for you.
So one stormy day in the future, we will be at great “peace” with a house we build.
When you walk on the water, you won’t sink with your eyes gazed at Jesus.
Have a great weekend!
