When you think you failed, God…..1/14/20

Good morning healing team!

If this is your first time to receive an email from us, Welcome to T Chiropractic and Acupuncture.

I hope 2020 has been good with you.

Looking back in 2019, my biggest event was Japan mission trip in October. Some of you may know that I had been prepared for it over a year.

A lot of you may make new year resolutions and I believe none of you make them to be failed.  They are to be achieved.

It was the same for me when I set up a mission trip to Japan, I made this mission trip to be successful. However, I did not feel that way when I got back from a mission trip in last October.

We had two missionaries going alongside with a mission team. One night, missionaries that we worked in Japan and them got in a “discussion” and got very very hot.

Let me say that they work very hard. I totally understand their passions and sometimes people don’t agree with everything even though they are on the same team. That was what happened.

Next morning, I got up early in the morning and spent time in prayers. I decided to go for a run to refresh my mind. I was going to run to a train station which was a mile away and come back.

I started running and I came to the end of bock (a block is about 400 ft long),then a voice in my head told me to turn left, so I did. At the end of next block, He told me to tun left again, so I did. At the end of next block in a parking space, I saw a few people from a community started to gather.

I took two more left to made a full circle around blocks. Then, I decided to run for seven rounds like Israelites marched around Jericho walls for seven times on the seventh day to witness the walls of Jericho collapsed and captured Jericho. ( Joshua 6 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Joshua+6&version=NIV )

I was hoping for God to break down invisible walls of this community.

On the second lap, I saw more people gathered in a parking space and I realized that they are going to do morning radio exercise.

On the third lap, a voice told me to go get my men. So I went back to a house and Mark was ready so Him and I went there to join morning exercise.

After exercise, a leader asked us to introduce ourselves which lead us to be able to share the Gospel.

A lot of people came to talk to us and asked us questions after dismissal. (A church we worked with did not have own building. A local Christian pediatrician built an extra bigger waiting area so they can use it for services on Sundays.)

A community did not know what was going on Sunday afternoon at her office. So we are able to tell them they told a church service on Sundays at her office.

God knows my cardiovascular ability. My cardio is not a great. I probably would not be able to run for seven laps nor I did not have seven days to run around blocks. However, God is so good and He made walls to collapse on third lap of the first day.

Even a great thing happened, after a hot discussion between missionaries, it was decided not good to do another mission trip with the church.

I thought I failed a mission trip.

However God said Heavenly NO!

We were able to plant seeds in a community back in October, and the first time ever in four years of a church history, people from a community showed up for Christmas service! Hallelujah!!

1 Corinthians 3:3-6 Paul said,

I planted the seed. Apollos watered it, but it was God Who kept it growing. This shows that the one who plants or the one who waters is not the important one. God is the important One. He makes it grow. The one who plants and the one who waters are alike. Each one will receive his own reward. For we work together with God. You are God’s field. You are God’s building also.

If there was not a “hot” discussion, I probably did not wake up early in the morning and we would have missed an exercise class which allowed us to connect a church with a community.

Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalm 139:5

5 You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.

He came behind us to protect what we did. He used what we thought it was a hot mess turned into His goodness.

Those who are signed up for a mission trip this year, prepare for a spiritual war. It happens. But God will turn it for good. But remember don’t be afraid and do not be discouraged.

Instead, Be encouraged to witness His work through you.

Those made a new year resolution to go to a mission trip, go sign up.

Those who have not made any new year resolutions yet, this is it! Go to a mission trip!

Remember, mission trips do not have to be international. There are tons of local and national ones too.

You cannot fail if you are doing His work and let Him do His work through you.

I recently made a big mistake trying to do His work relying on my strength instead of His strength and it did not go well.

Maybe I can share it in the next email.

Have a great rest of a week!
