Chiropractic

  • Healing Art of Innate Intelligence

Chiropractic was founded by D.D. Palmer in the 1890’s. The chiropractic philosophy states that pressure on the nerve (subluxation) is a cause of disease. Pressure on the nerve can be caused by misalignment of the vertebral bodies which will reduce the function of the nerve. Since the nerve allows your body to communicate between the brain and body, your body function will be reduced by pressure on the nerve (subluxation). Reduced body function will lead to disease in the body.

Chiropractic is beneficial treatment for headache, neck and back pains. By adjustment (on the vertebrae and/or any body joints) it will improve the health of fluids and supportive structures in the joints. It also helps with reducing the spasm of muscle.

    Common conditions:

    Back Pain
    Headache

    Sciatica
    TMJ pain
    Knee pain (including meniscus pain)
    Plantarfaciitis
    Bunion
    Tennis elbow
    Thumb pain
    Any kind of sports injuries

    Muscle Spasm

Common Lower Back Pain Case

The most common lower back pain in my office is Sacroiliac joint instability*

*Patients usually present with pain at PSIS (two bumps on the lower back) or along SI joint (two to three inches long starting from PSIS) or muscle spasm (tightness) in one or both side of the spine. Pain can be coming from any movements of the lower back (bending forward, sides or back), sitting or standing. Many patients have this issue off and and on for long time (can be years). The problem is due to loose ligaments between the SI joint. When you stress the joint, it will stretch the ligaments which causes the pain. Adjustments of the SI joint is very important to align the joint before ligaments start heaing. Acupuncture helps to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain. This case is very common and we have been successfully getting patients well this condition.
